Find Dubois County Traffic Records

Start with the citation in hand and the Dubois County traffic court records that follow it into Indiana's court system. The Superior Court and the Dubois County Clerk of the Courts hold the case file. A docket lookup can show the assigned court, scheduled hearings, public case events, and payment status. Begin with the state tools named on the ticket. If nothing appears online, call the local court or visit the counter. The citation itself sets the response date and the instructions. Paying a ticket and contesting it are separate choices in court. The court file also stays separate from the state's licensing record.

Traffic Court Records in Dubois County

Local rule LR19-AR1-1 puts every traffic case in Dubois County Superior Court. Its code is 19D01. The Dubois County Clerk of the Courts keeps the case file. The clerk also keeps the Chronological Case Summary, or CCS. For traffic questions, call the Traffic Violation Bureau at 812-481-7071. The Superior Court line is 812-481-7070.

A traffic CCS can list the case number, citation events, hearings, pleas or admissions, the disposition, payments, and any failure status. Public orders may appear as linked documents in MyCase. Indiana's official Odyssey list gives no separate trial-court code for Jasper, Huntingburg, Ferdinand, Holland, or Birdseye. That list names no trial-court code for those towns. Any city-issued matter that reaches the county court system goes through Superior Court.

Dubois County Traffic Goes to Superior

Don't search Circuit Court just because the county has two trial courts. The local rule makes Superior the only traffic court. A city parking notice or town ordinance process may start outside the CCS. But once a traffic case is filed in the county system, 19D01 becomes the key selector in MyCase and CourtCal.

The assignment helps when the printed citation is hard to read. Call the Traffic Violation Bureau and give the name and citation details. Ask whether a county case number exists. The court is the source for the exact number. Never build one from a guessed year, type, or sequence.

How to Look Up a Dubois County Traffic Ticket

Indiana ePay Public Access is the statewide payment interface. Official guidance says a search may use a driver's-license number or a name with date of birth. The page itself is dynamic, so it offers no fixed Dubois eligibility list. Some tickets cannot be paid online. If the citation names another route, follow it.

  1. Read the ticket for the issuing court, citation number, response date, and instructions.
  2. Try ePay only when the citation directs payment there or the ticket appears as eligible.
  3. Search public case events in MyCase using the citation number, case number, or name.
  4. Check CourtCal for a public setting after the county case posts.
  5. Call 812-481-7071 or visit the court counter when the ticket is absent or unclear.

Indiana State Police does not take traffic-ticket payments. Payment belongs with the court or route printed on the citation.

Dubois County ePay Search Limits

An online miss does not cancel a ticket. The citation may not have posted yet. It may not qualify for online payment, or may need a different court route. The ePay page offers no stable local workflow, processing charge, or Dubois eligibility list. So never assume a visible pay button covers every traffic matter.

When no match appears, keep the citation and call the Traffic Violation Bureau. Ask whether the case has posted. Ask which number to use, and what the ticket requires next. Mail or in-person payment may be available only under instructions the court supplies. The court publishes no universal Dubois deadline.

Finding Your Dubois County Traffic Court Date

The citation comes first for an appearance or response date. Confirm the event through the public CCS in MyCase, the separate CourtCal hearing calendar, or the Traffic Violation Bureau. If those sources conflict, follow the latest court order or notice and call Superior Court before traveling.

CourtDubois County Superior Court

A CourtCal listing is a helpful locator. It does not replace notice from the court. Dubois County offers no text or email reminder program.

Three Dubois County Traffic Date Channels

MyCase shows the CCS event history. CourtCal gives a public hearing-calendar view. The Traffic Violation Bureau or Superior Court can resolve a missing or inconsistent setting. When a date matters, use all three. Keep in mind that a reset moves an event and is not a dismissal.

The Indiana judiciary forms page carries the statewide court forms.

State forms can support court procedure. But no generic form replaces the response instructions printed on a Dubois County citation.

Paying or Contesting a Dubois County Ticket

Paying and contesting are different paths. Use ePay only if the ticket is eligible and the portal offers it. Otherwise follow the payment route printed on the citation. Confirm that route with the Traffic Violation Bureau. To contest, follow the appearance or plea instruction on the ticket and contact Superior Court. The county publishes no 30-day rule, so the actual citation controls.

Do not ignore a deadline: Indiana guidance distinguishes failure to appear from failure to pay, and either can lead to court action and a notice to the BMV under applicable law.

Dubois County publishes no deferral or defensive-driving program terms. Eligibility, cost, completion terms, and the effect on the court disposition must come from the court, not from a generic statewide assumption.

Dubois County FTA and FTP Status

FTA means failure to appear. FTP means failure to pay. They are different court statuses, though both can trigger further steps. Indiana motor-vehicle guidance describes court-to-BMV notices. It also describes possible suspension consequences based on the case and governing law. A public page cannot predict the result for one ticket.

Check the CCS, keep every notice, and call Superior Court. Ask what court action occurred and what must be filed or paid to address it. A payment screen alone may not explain a missed appearance, a later order, or another unresolved event.

Dubois County Court Record vs Driver Record

Two offices keep two separate files. The Dubois County Clerk holds the Superior Court case file tied to the citation, while the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles keeps the state licensing record on its own. A CCS entry can show a plea, disposition, order, or payment event. That entry is still not a copy of the BMV file.

Custody and content are what set the two apart, so work the court matter through the citation, the CCS, and the clerk file.

Electronic Dubois County Traffic Citations

Indiana runs its citation traffic through an eCWS system. The system moves electronic ticket data between police agencies, the courts, and the BMV. In Dubois County that means a ticket can reach the court docket fast. Speed has limits, though. An eCWS ticket does not always show up as a public document in MyCase. And not every citation qualifies for online payment.

Start with the citation number printed on your ticket when you search the docket. If that turns up nothing, try a name and date of birth where the portal allows it. Neither working is not a crisis. Call 812-481-7071 and follow whatever the court tells you about waiting. One thing never changes. The deadline to respond comes straight from the citation itself, not from any portal screen.

Dubois County Traffic Record Fees and Copies

The county clerk posts its copy-fee table as the local source of record. That table governs Dubois County court records. The table carries an August 31, 2022 date. Check current amounts before you order anything.

Expect a flat copy charge and nothing split out by case type. The clerk lists no separate fee for a traffic docket search. There is no ePay processing amount. The table shows no local deferral figure and no certified traffic-docket charge.

Dubois County Traffic Access Rules

Public traffic records still answer to the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records and the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, IC 5-14-3. A citation alone does not make protected identifiers, sealed material, or excluded information public. Ask the clerk for the lawful public copy of the court record.

The Indiana Code access source sets out the statute in full:

Indiana access law source for Dubois County traffic court records

Indiana's public-record laws frame what citizens may see.

Federal judiciary rules still govern access to court files, and the Southern District of Indiana source shows the Evansville division's own page for that material.

Federal court source distinguished from Dubois County traffic court records

Federal traffic matters live in a wholly separate system. They cannot stand in for the Dubois County Superior Court traffic CCS when what you need is a county court record.

Note: Verify the deadline, the dollar amount, your plea route, and the court date with the citation itself and with the Traffic Violation Bureau before you act on anything.
